Important information
- Re-taking exams are not a valid reason to prolong a residence permit in Norway. You must contact the International student reception for questions regarding this.
- If you are a master student at the Department of Economics, check if you can re-take exams on the list Restrictions on taking exams at the Department of Economics.

What information will be provided on the diploma?
If you pass the same examination several times, the best result will be listed on your diploma.
If you have improved a grade after registering the degree as completed, this will be noted on your diploma.
No new courses for the degree
Your education plan is locked the semester you take the final courses in your degree. You cannot defer your diploma in order to take a new courses.
If you want to take new courses you can apply to become a guest student on master courses at the Department of Economics. You can document new courses using an ordinary transcript.
When will you receive your diploma?
Your diploma will be issued automatically at the end of your deferral period.
