The ARENA Lecture

The ARENA Lecture is a long-standing tradition at the University of Oslo. In this lecture series ARENA invites politicians and other influential persons to hold an open lecture on a topic that is both of academic and public interest.

Long-standing tradition

Among the former speakers arethe former Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende, Jonas Gahr Støre, former Norwegian Prime Ministers Gro Harlem Brundtland and Kjell Magne Bondevik, former Secretary General of the Council of Europe Daniel Tarschys, former Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström, Dutch author and historian Geert Mak, philosopher and writer Seyla Benhabib, and Norway's first Europe Minister Vidar Helgesen.
