Excerpt from the "No to EU" campaign poster against ACER. The question of Norwegian association with EU's energy agency ACER sparked a major debate.

About the event

Last winter, Norway's affiliation with the EU's energy agency ACER sparked a significant debate. The EU now has 40 such agencies, and several have or may have the authority to make decisions that Norwegian businesses and individuals must adhere to. How does this harmonize with the Norwegian Constitution, which sets strict requirements for surrendering sovereignty? Does this development challenge the EEA Agreement? What was the ACER dispute? What happens when Norway considers joining new EU agencies such as BEREC (telecommunications) and the EU's new labor market agency in the future?
