MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2024: Call for expression of interest

ARENA Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo calls for expressions of interest from early career researchers to apply for an EU funded Marie Skłodowska Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF-2024) by 12 April 2024.

We will then work with selected applicants to write their full proposal for the 11 September 2024 deadline.

About ARENA

ARENA Centre for European Studies is a multidisciplinary research centre at the University of Oslo, studying the direction, dynamics and sustainability of the evolving European political order. The Centre has conducted research on political, economic, legal and social integration, transformation and cooperation in Europe since 1994.

About Your MSCA Project

We are interested in hosting and training excellent post-doctoral fellows in areas that relate to ARENA’s research on the evolving European political order. Depending on your area, you may be connected to ongoing research projects at ARENA, which includes research on democratic backsliding and the rule of law, the political economy of the European single market, the European Union’s common foreign and security policy, differentiated European integration, national compliance with European law and judicial politics in the European Union.

Eligibility

MSCA PF is open to excellent researchers of any nationality. Researchers must be in possession of a doctoral degree. At the call deadline on 11 September 2024, researchers must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date that the researcher was in a possession of a doctoral degree.

Mobility rule: the researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Norway for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline 11 September 2024.​

Assessment and selection of candidates

Please send a cover letter, a CV, including publications list, and a one-page project idea description to Vilija Duleviciute (vilija.duleviciute@arena.uio.no) by 12 April 2024.

In the first step of the process, we will choose the candidates for developing competitive MSCA postdoctoral grant applications. Applicants will be shortlisted by an internal panel and informed if they have been selected for the next stage by 3 May 2024.

The selected applicants will develop their MSCA PF proposal in cooperation with their future supervisor at ARENA Centre for European Studies. In addition, they will be offered individual consultations and review of their MSCA PF proposal.

The applicants will also be offered a possibility to participate in the MSCA PF proposal writing workshop at University of Oslo.
