The greater, more overarching implications that this collective research effort has generated will be discerned at this academic conference.
But due attention will also be paid to the most pressing issue currently facing the EU, namely the financial crisis. The first part of the conference is thus devoted to discerning the main lessons from the financial crisis and the likely implications for the EU.
Prior to this academic conference, on Thursday 24 November, RECON will organise the half-day outreach event 'Europe's Democratic Challenge', to be opened by Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre. RECON's findings will be presented at Litteraturhuset to a broad audience as part of the University of Oslo's 200 years celebration.
