Daniel Naurin er senterleder ved ARENA og professor i statsvitenskap ved Institutt for statsvitenskap ved Universitetet i Oslo.

Han er også tilknyttet institutt for statsvitenskap ved universitetet i Göteborg.

Naurin har hatt stilinger og gjesteopphold ved Institutt for offentlig rett (Oslo), European University Institute (Firenze), Emory University (Atlanta), Monash European Centre (Melbourne), Sussex European Institute (Brighton) og Utrikespolitiska institutet (Stockholm).

Han er styremedlem i Standing Group on the European Union (SGEU) i European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR).

Akademiske interesser

Daniel Naurin har bred forskningsbakgrunn innen temaer som juridisk politikk, lobbyisme, innsyn og åpenhet, samt internasjonale forhandlinger. Store deler av Naurins empiriske arbeider er fokusert på EU-politikk.

Hans nyeste og pågående prosjekter undersøker motstand mot retsstatsprinsipper, juridisk beslutningstaking i EU-domstolen, Sveriges høyesterett og Den interamerikanske menneskerettsdomstolen; koalisjonsbygging og betydning av kjønn ved forhandlinger i Ministerrådet; samt koblingen mellom lobbyisme og offentlig opinion i Europa.
