The third instalment of the Summer School on Concepts and Methods for Research on Far-Right Politics which takes place next year at Sciences Po, Paris from 4 – 8 July.
Organised by the ECPR Standing Group on Extremism and Democracy and the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX).
Despite the growing attention received by far-right political parties, social movements, and groups, we still lack a comprehensive conceptual and methodological toolkit to investigate its diverse expressions in the multi-organisational field.
The Summer School will thus address young scholars and students, and discuss how to apply established research techniques to the study of far-right politics, and retrieve and manage available data on attitudes and electoral behaviour.
The event will focus on the study of the far-right in its radical, populist, and extremist manifestations, boosting your knowledge of the theoretical, empirical, and methodological underpinnings of contemporary far-right politics.
You will be introduced to the concepts and theories explaining the conditions affecting far-right mobilisation and performance, and methods to tackle this phenomenon empirically.
Keynote Speakers:
- Cas Mudde University of Georgia and C-REX, University of Oslo
- Nonna Mayer Sciences Po
