Audrey Gagnon is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Research on Extremism (C-REX), University of Oslo. Her research project explores the normalization of the far-right, focusing on the cases of Norway, France, and Quebec.
Gagnon received her PhD from Concordia University in 2021, with a doctoral dissertation on the relationship between conceptions of national identity and opinions about immigration and diversity among the mainstream and more radical actors in the context of Quebec. Her research interests include national identity, opinions about immigration, as well as far-right and right-wing populist movements. She recently was awarded the FRQSC Relève Étoile Paul-Gérin-Lajoie prize for her article published in the Canadian Review of Sociology and the Léon-Dion prize for the best article published in Politique et Sociétés in 2018-2019.

Background
Audrey Gagnon holds a PhD in Political Science from Concordia University (2021). She also has a BSc in International Studies (2014) and a MSc in Political Science (2016) from the University of Montreal.
