The Programme Council is responsible for running and developing the study programmes in Economics within the framework of the Regulations on studies and examination at UiO. The Programme Council will process questions regarding the academic framework, important priorities and the work with quality assurance and development of the programmes. The Programme Council will not make decisions which impact the use of resources and/or the distribution of resources at the Department.
The Programme Council is designed to ensure the students' representation. The Programme Council reports to the Head of Department. The Head of Department appoints the Chair of the Programme Council, Head of Programmes and members of the Programme Council. The Programme Council consists of up to 8 members, of which 2 are student representatives. The Programme Council meets 5-6 times per year.
