ESOP seminar. Ragnar Torvik is professor of economics at NTNU. He will present a paper entitled “The Political Agenda Effect and State Centralization”, written jointly with Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson.

ESOP seminar. Jochen Kluve is Professor of Empirical Labor Economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He will present the paper "What Works? A Meta-Analysis of Recent Active Labor Market Program Evaluations", written jointly with David Card and Andrea Weber.

This year's Raquel Fernández Workshop is devoted to the subject of debt. Raquel Fernández will present "The Long and the Short of It: Sovereign Debt Crises and Debt Maturity".

ESOP organizes the third joint international conference with the Social Science Research Centre (WZB) and Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance in Berlin in July this year.
