Strategy 2030 and the faculty's annual plans guide all work at the University of Oslo and the Faculty of Social Sciences. These strategies form the basis for the two main objectives of the communication strategy. Therefore, the communication strategy follows the same timeframe as the faculty's Strategy 2030. Measures to help achieve the objectives of the communication strategy are incorporated into the faculty's annual plans.
The communication strategy is owned by the enrite faculty and is operationalized in action plans for activities that contribute to the objectives.
Main Goal: Contribute to Good Recruitment
The faculty is and should be perceived as the most attractive place in the country to study social sciences. The goal is for more students to complete their study programs and find their education relevant and attractive for the job market and significant societal challenges. We should enhance employers' understanding of and knowledge about the students' competencies, and highlight collaborative platforms between alumni, societal and work-life actors, and the students. Diversity among students is important, and the faculty will work for a more even gender distribution and to make the faculty an attractive study destination regardless of background.

Social science research helps set the premises for societal development. The faculty facilitates researchers' initiatives to participate in the public debate. This is important for achieving the objective in Strategy 2030 of strengthening dialogue with the outside world and working for knowledge to be used.
