The Eilert Sundt Lecture 2015: Ten Fallacies about Racist Extremists

Professor Kathleen M. Blee spoke about ten common misconceptions about racial extremists, and how better understandings can help stop the spread of this ideology.

Kathleen M. Blee is Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Department of Sociology, University of Pittsburgh, USA.

Kathleen Blee has studied racist groups and right-wing extremists in the United States for over 30 years. Much of her research involves personal interviews and interactions with white supremacists who advocate violence and terrorism against the U.S. government and members of racial minorities. In this talk, she discussed 10 common misconceptions about racial extremists, and how better understandings can help stop the spread of this ideology.
