Panel discussion on The Sources of Social Power, Vol IV: Globalization

Michael Mann published The Sources of Social Power in 1986 (Volume 1) and in 1993 (Volume II). This year, Professor Mann has completed the two final volumes of this historical sociology of power. Volume III is entitled Global Empire and Revolutions, 1890-1945, and Volume IV is entitled Globalization. Both volumes will be published by Cambridge University Press late this year or early next year. This panel discussion will provide a first few glimpses into this major work. Five social scientists provide brief presentations and comments of selected chapters from Vol. IV, Professor Mann responds and a panel discussion carries this discussion further.
