Many of our master's courses are open to students from other programmes. Information as to whether a course will accept applications will be stated on each course page.

Who may apply?
There are two main criteria for applying, both of which must be met:
- You need to be enrolled in a master's programme at UiO, or another Norwegian university/university college.
- You must confirm that the course can be included in your master's degree
Exceptions may be made for PhD students who wish to apply.
How to apply?
The application process depends on your institution:
Are you enrolled in a master's programme at the University of Oslo?
- Ask your student adviser/programme administrator to confirm in writing that the course can be included in your master's degree. Please send the confirmation to ekspedisjon@psykologi.uio.no. Remember to state your full name and student number.
- Alternatively, the student adviser/programme administrator can contact us directly using the same email address as stated above.
- The application deadline is 1 August for the autumn semester and 15 January for the spring semester.
Are you enrolled in a master's programme at a different institution?
- Ask your student adviser/programme administrator to confirm in writing that the course can be included in your master's degree. Please send the confirmation to ekspedisjon@psykologi.uio.no.
- The application deadline is 1 August for the autumn semester and 15 January for the spring semester.
- Important: If you have not previously been a student at UiO, you must enclose a completed version of the form "skjema for studiekompetanse" (in which you state that you meet the Higher Education Entrance Qualification) as well as a copy of your certificate of upper secondary education.
