- Report your project to NSD
- If you are processing personal data you must submit a notification form to NSD before you start your data collection. Not sure if you need to notify NSD of your project? You can take the notifications test here
- Make sure you know the requirements you must satisfy in addition to formally securing permission before you can begin your research.
- In cases where students have an external supervisor, Head of Studies should be registered as the contact person at UiO.
- Where are you storing your research data?
- First, you have to classify your data: are they green, yellow or red? You will have to store the research data according to the classification. Contact the IT-department at The Faculty of Social Sciences if you are storing red data
- What to do when the project is completed
- If you have collected/used personal data which is notifiable to NSD, it is important that you report to NSD when the project is completed, and what will happen to the data. The project is not completed before you are graduated.
Data and source processing
