ESOP celebrates its 10 years as a Centre of Excellence

ESOP organises a two-day event to mark the end of its CoE-period. The research centre will no longer be part of the Norwegian Research Council's programme but continues with fresh funding.

ESOP was awarded the Centre of Excellence (CoE) title by the Norwegian Research Council (RCN) in 2007. The research centre has throughout these years produced a vast amount of research focusing on the links between equality, social organization, and economic performance, both in rich and poor countries. The CoE schemes are time-limited and after 10 years ESOP will no longer be a part of the programme. ESOP will continue as a research centre and carry out its research projects with fresh funding.

On October 27 ESOP organises a Conference on The Future of Egalitarianism at the Nobel Peace Center.

On October 28 there will be an ESOP Workshop at the University of Oslo.

Both events are open to all. Registration will be necessary and made available shortly.
