The amount of people who do not identify with a religious tradition is growing across the world, including the Nordic countries.
In this symposium, scholars present some Nordic findings from an international study that considers the impact of nonreligion in the areas of the environment, the law, migration, health, and culture. We have examined who the nonreligious are and which role nonreligion plays in the ways people interact with nature, in law, migration policies and refugee reception, burial rituals, and pop culture. Our focus is how the approaches and interests of the nonreligious challenge existing and taken-for-granted practices and cultures.
The symposium is open and will take place on June 6-7 in Auditorium 3, Eilert Sundts Hus, University of Oslo. Welcome!
