The Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation

AdaptationCONNECTS is heavily involved in the 5th Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation, Norrköping, Sweden 23-25 October 2018. 

The Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation, NOCCA, aims to highlight, discuss and be inspired by Nordic adaptation solutions.

 

It gathers those working on on climate change adaptation, within the fields of science, in local communities, governments and municipal administration, in ministries and national authorities, politics, businesses, industry and NGOs.

 

AdaptationCONNECTS will contribute in several capacities. Karen O´Brien will give the keynote "From adaptation to transformation: Evaluating the state of adaptation science", Tuesday 23 October.


On Thursday 25 we are organizing a session on "From adaptation to transformation: What if climate change adaptation is not enough?". This session will explore how both adaptation and transformation together can contribute to an empowering discourse that supports political agency and collaborative actions to reduce the impacts and risks of dangerous climate change. 

 

The session includes both presentations and a World Café setup.
