Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability (COSUST) is inviting prospective authors to submit paper proposals on the subject of 1.5°C climate change research and social transformation. Due date for submitting a 2-page précis is 15 March, 2017

The COSUST special issue on 1,5°C and social transformation invites articles short, authoritative review articles of 2000-3000 words that explicitly focus on changes to achieve 1.5°C in the context of strengthening sustainable development, alleviating poverty and reducing inequality.

One of the key purposes of the special issue is to directly support the assessment process for the IPCC’s Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C with literature specific to this climate target. COSUST invites papers that review social, political and cultural transformations and the implications for mitigation and adaptation aspects of a 1.5°C increase in global temperature. Priority will be given to short, authoritative review articles of 2000-3000 words that explicitly include a 1.5°C perspective.
