O'Brien talks about the connection between activism and academia. Linking knowledge and action is key to achieving the societal transformation at the rate, scale and depth called for. She use the three spheres of transformation framework to explain the relationship and interconnections between the practical, political and personal sphere.
The Ecological Challenges 2017 took place 15-18 February, 2017, in Oslo. Gathering about 200 participants this conference focused on system change and themes such as ecological worldview, ecological economics, ecological politics, and movements and strategies.
