Norwegian participation in FP7

In a recent publication from the Research Council of Norway, the extent to which Norway is participating, as a coordinator or as a partner, in research projects funded by the Seventh Framework Program of the European Union (FP7) is presented. EUMARGINS is referred to as an example of a FP7-funded project in the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) programme.

The information leaflet displays statistics on Norway's participation in FP7. More than every fifth project application with Norwegian participation is approved for funding by the Commission. The Environment Programme is highlighted as the one in which Norwegian researchers are the most active. The Norwegian Research Council reports that that one out of five projects with Norwegian participation are coordinated by Norway, but that only one out of five of these have female coordinators, of which EUMARGINS is one.
