The Nordic Climate Change Adaptation Workshop took place on September 3-4, 2009, and was organized in cooperation by the PLAN project at the University of Oslo, the Nordic CARAVAN project and the Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research (CSPR), Linköping University, Norrköping. Ca 30 researchers and 8 stakeholders from Finland, Sweden and Norway met for two days at CSPR in Norrköping to discuss the challenges of climate change adaptation in the Nordic region, integrating perspectives from scientists as well as stakeholders.

A creative meeting between the arts and climate science

Tipping Point Norway brought together around 80 artists and scientists from Norway, Denmark, the U.K, Canada and Singapore. This midsummer event was the first of its kind in Norway and represented a unique and ambitious step to open up the climate change debate and set the premises for engagement of new groups and actors in this important area.

February 7-8, 2008 the PLAN project participated in the conference "Living with climate change: are there limits to adaptation?" at the Royal Geographic Society in London. The two day conference was organized by the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the PLAN project at the University of Oslo, with the support of the Global Environmental Change and Human Security (GECHS) project.

Objective of the Meeting:

To formally initiate the PLAN project and draw upon international expertise to develop the subprojects and place the research in a larger perspective.
