Academic interests
Vivi is a Ph.d candidate at UiO’s Political Science department and a research fellow at Norwegian Defence University College. At NDUC, she is affiliated with Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies and the R&D program Information warfare and data driven operations. Her thesis looks at the intelligence potential of metadata and democratic digital surveillance of citizens.
Background
Vivi holds a Master of political science from the University of Oslo, a Master of international relations from Genevea School of Diplomacy and International Relations and a Bachelor of social science from Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She has previously worked for the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), Geelmuyden Kiese, Telenor Norway, International Telecommunication Union, International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL-CMC) and SOS Children’s Village Dharamsala.
