In this seminar, Haakon Gjerløw will focus particularly on the systematization of the parliamentary minutes and attempts at measuring parliamentary unity through the analysis of these texts. Tracing organized collective action in parliamentary speeches has been successful for consolidated democracies, but it is unknown whether similar methods can be applied to competitive autocracies.
