This event, hosted by the Oslo Nuclear Project, will discuss the international security implications of shipping. Important factors like risk management, risk assessment, and due diligence in the shipping industry will be discussed. Moreover, how these issues manifest themselves in international security, particularly with respect to issues of proliferation and the high north, will also be addressed. The presenter will also demonstrate how to effectively conduct open-source Automatic Identification System (AIS) analysis and how to detect potential suspicious shipping activity in publicly available data.
