In his position within the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, Anton Kristian Bugge will work on contemporary security issues in the Department of Security Policy and Operations. His tasks will include day-to-day policy analysis in addition to event planning and communications assistance within the ministry. His two years of experience working as a research assistant for Målfrid Braut-Hegghammer at the Oslo Nuclear Project will contribute to the ministry’s work on nuclear and security issues, and his areas of responsibility will be adapted according to his competence on these issues in the High North region.
Anton has a BA in Political Science from the University of Oslo, and is currently in his first year of the MA program in Political Science at the University of Oslo. During the full-time internship he will be on leave from his studies for one year, and he will return to the university to write his MA thesis in the fall of 2025.
