Why PROMENTA

PROMENTA is a dynamic and interdisciplinary research center focusing on mental health, drug use and well-being in the general population. We are particularly concerned with understanding the processes that lead to inequality in mental health and well-being, and in contributing to reducing social inequality in health.

At PROMENTA you will have a chance to work across several research groups, with unique datasets, and develop a range of transferable skills, all while making friends and expanding your research network.

Who can apply?

  • MSCA PF is open to excellent researchers of any nationality.
  • Researchers must have a doctoral degree.
  • At the call deadline, researchers must have a maximum of eight years of full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date that the researcher had a doctoral degree.
  • Mobility rule: the researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Norway for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline of 13 September 2023.

Assessment and selection of candidates

If you are interested in applying for the MSCA PF, please send your CV, a publication list, a cover letter and a one-page project presentation to research advisor Kristina Kymre by April 11th, 2023. We also encourage you to indicate your preferred supervisors among the PROMENTA research group leaders. Candidates are shortlisted by an internal panel and notified of the outcome of their application by 30 April 2023.

Selected candidates will then develop their proposals in collaboration with their future supervisor and the PROMENTA research administration. Candidates are strongly encouraged to participate in the MSCA PF proposal writing workshop organized by the University of Oslo in May 2023.
