The department is primarily responsible for managing the institute's student clinics and coordinating external practicum opportunities in the professional program.
The department is led by the department head for clinic, practicum, and clinical skill training. In addition, the department consists of a clinic coordinator and supervisors associated with the institute's four clinics.
The institute's adult clinics are located at Børrestuveien 3, and their activities are linked to the course PSYC6310. This course provides students with the opportunity to engage in real treatment of adult patients.
The child and family therapy clinic is affiliated with the Nic Waals Institute (Lovisenberg Diakonale Hospital), and all treatment takes place at their premises.
The department is also responsible for clinical practicum and skill training in the professional program. This includes first-line practice, pre-practicum, main practicum, as well as quality assurance of these. A university lecturer/practicum coordinator is employed in the department, who is responsible for coordinating the external practicum that students in the professional program in psychology must complete.

Teaching Resources
Teaching resources at the clinic primarily consist of supervisors for the practicum. Some of these supervisors come from the Department of Clinical Psychology and the Department of Cognitive and Clinical Neuropsychology and hold full-time positions, including professors, associate professors, lecturers, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates. However, most supervisors are specialist psychologists in permanent part-time positions who report to the clinic director.
