The course focuses specifically on the conflicts among rival stakeholder groups in society emerging now and expected to accelerate in the coming decades due to the green energy transition to a decarbonized economy.
Psychology plays a crucial role in understanding human responses to the climate crisis. This course explores human reactions to the crisis, clinical dimensions like "green emotions," and the relationship between humanity and nature. Moreover, the climate crisis brings to the forefront classic psychological themes, including the interplay between attitudes and behavior, communication, emotions and cognition, and the dynamics between the individual and the system.
Bærekraftslaberatoriet is an interdisciplinary practice course in collaboration with UN Global Compact Norway (UNGC), where students get to work in small groups with real, sustainability-related issues from UNGC's partner companies.
