PhD Project

My PhD project is a part of a larger project called "Early Prevention of Mental Health Problems: Co-Creating and Optimizing a Brief Evidence-Based Intervention for Adolescents (Kort)". As a part of the project, I am investigating the associations between emotion regulation and transdiagnostic mental health. The Kort intervention will be piloted in Spring 2023, and I will assist in evaluating the intervention effects on the identified proximal and distal outcomes.

My primary research interests revolve around mental health of children and adolescents, focusing on transdiagnsotic perspectives. My current focus is on emotion regulation (ER), the conceptualization and measurement of the construct in an intensive longitudinal design. As well as, how emotion regulation impacts both mental health and well-being, and how can ER be effectively targeted in interventions.

I am currently affiliated to the  Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Regional Center for Children and Adolescent Mental Health, and PROMENTA.
