This workshop will walk you through how to set up a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) with Matlab applications.
We will go through
- Why VDI and local storage
- VDI is a virtual environment where you have your own virtual desktop with dedicated hardware resources
- How VDI desktops are hosted in a datacenter at the University of Oslo (UiO)
- Access to a UiO Desktop on a UiO network, which gives access to UiO services from anywhere in the world
- Scope of usage of VDI for research, education, and computer labs.
