About the group

The Personality Assessment Lab (PAL) is focused on research into four main areas:

  1. Translation, standardization, and norms for new and established assessment methods

  2. Developing and implementing new methods for establishing the validity of assessment tools

  3. Evaluating theoretical, empirical, and dimensional models of personality and psychopathology

  4. Experimental studies on response bias and response validity (simulation/dissimulation)

The main research focus of the PAL is directed toward dimensional models of personality and psychopathology. The ongoing studies involve the Five Factor Model, Psychopathy Traits, Light and Dark Traits, Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) and the HiTOP model of psychopathology.
