As a part of the AMBER project, Yayi Zheng attended the 9th International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods and Amber in Xi’an, China, as well as visiting potential field sites in preparation for her fieldwork in 2025.

On May 13 the AMBER team organised a small workshop with Sarah Møller Christensen and SAI colleagues to watch and discuss the film "Land of Amber" and brainstorm Sarah's film project on Chiapas amber.
As a part of the AMBER project, Alessandro Rippa carried out some preliminary fieldwork in and near Catania, in Sicily, where amber has a long, but largely forgotten, history.
Alessandro Rippa held a research seminar at Stockholm University Monday the 25th regarding China's striking absence from ethnographic perspectives.
