Below you will find information about the meetings and links to literature.
In the folder called Texts you will find an archive of all the literature we have read and a file with the complete references for the literature. This list will be continually updated.
There is also a reference manager file for those who want to import the references directly into their reference manager. The file is a RIS file which most reference management softwares support.

The theme this time is Anthropology, labor, and class.
In this Meeting, Christian has chosen two Readings from the edited book Vital Relations (2013); one chapter by Janet Carsten and another by Gillian Feeley-Harnik. Christian will introduce the chapters.
First meeting this semester will focus on Linda McDowell's book (2009) Working Bodies: Interactive Service Employment and Workplace Identities.
This time we will focus on two articles by Tania Murray Li about land and labour.
We discuss two recently published articles by Laura Bear (LSE).
For the first meeting this autumn we will read two articles that have in common that they treat the relationship between work and subjectivity.
The labour reading group meeting that was supposed to take place May 31 was cancelled and re-scheduled to May 26.
Next labour reading group meeting is about precarity.
The Labour reading group will meet Monday 3. March to discuss three texts by Keith Hart.
We will use part of the spring semester to read classic contributions on issues related to the understanding of labour.
