The Biennal conference of the European Network for Psychological Anthropology will be hosted at the University of Oslo in June 2023. Attendance is free and the conference is sponsored by the Shrinking the Planet project at the Department of Social Anthropology.

ENPA is one of the fastest growing anthropology associations in Europe and the conference currently has 29 panels, 2 keynote speakers and a film night among other attractions. The keynote addresses will be provided by Professor Tanya Luhrmann of Stanford University and Professor Susanne Bregnbæk of Copenhagen.

The conference, with the theme "Psychology and Anthropology in a Changing World",  will be launched as an inclusive forum for scholars from a wide range of disciplinary and thematic orientations to discuss, theorize and reflect on historically and socio-culturally situated concepts of [i.e. the mind, the body, and their entanglements in cultural, social, and/or political worlds]. Critical perspectives on the concepts of mainstream psychology are encouraged; productive engagements across the disciplinary boundaries of anthropology and cognitive science, psychiatry, philosophy, evolutionary biology, and others will also be welcome.
