The TIK Board is the centre's highest decision-making body. The board decides the centre's policies, priorities and strategies.
The TIK Board has 10 members, including two student representatives. The Board is elected for a 4-year period, except from the representative of the Scientific staff with a temporary contaract and the student representatives, who are elected for 1-year periods. Two of the members of the Board must be employed outside of the University of Oslo. TIK's head of administration is secretary to the Board.
