Martin's PhD is part of the project Urban Transformation in a Warming Arctic – The continued effects of Nordic colonialism in urban planning and development (UrbTrans). In his PhD-project Martin will look at the urban planning and development of Nuuk, the capital of Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland), focusing on the period from 1950 to around 1980.
Background
Martin has a MA in Human Geography from the University of Oslo. Between 2016-2021 he worked with architecture, building applications and urban planning in Oslo Municipality, first in the Agency of Planning and Building Services and then in the District of Sagene.
