A day in tribute of Bruno Latour

Kristin Asdal took part in the day-long tribute of Bruno Latour at the CSI in Paris.

Lausanne-based anthropologist, artist and illustrator Anaïs Bloch made illustrations throughout the day of the panels.

On October 23, le Centre de sociologie de l'innovation (CSI) at École de mines in Paris held a day-long seminar in tribute of the late Bruno Latour, who passed away in 2022. Latour spent many of his formative years at the CSI, which he also took part in establishing more than 50 years ago, and both Latour and the CSI has since become formative of the field of STS as a whole.

Latour has left a considerable intellectual legacy, and has been an important influence for Kristin Asdal, who also worked with Latour while she was a phd student. Along with other prominent figures within STS, Asdal was invited to speak at the event.
