Right before Covid locked things down again, we were able to welcome Liliana Doganova to Oslo for a status update on the project. While we missed Nassima Adbelghafour, who at the time was in French Guyana doing fieldwork, this was actually (and finally!) our first in-person, non-digital project meeting.
In addition to concretizing the overall project aim, planning coming conference panels and special journal editions (more on this later), Marie Stilling Hansen presented an initial draft of her project on the emerging seaweed industry in Norway and its valuation practices as a new economy.
Doganova also joined our biweekly STS group meeting at TIK, were we discussed her research on valuation, business models and forestry.
