In line with the general research questions of the Value threads project, the upcoming book on the "value economy" explores the hypothesis of a shift of the economy toward what is called the “value economy”. Scholars from all over Europe has been invited to write draft chapters which in different ways investigate empirical cases that are emblematic of the sites, tools and procedures where the versions of economization unfold and through which this value economy comes into being.
In the beginning of December 2023, we welcomed Joe Deville from Mattering Press along with the authors of the chapters to Oslo to take part in a three-day workshop to work collectively on the draft chapters and the common theme of the book. Edited by Kristin Asdal and Liliana Doganova, the book is planned to be published by Mattering Press in 2025.
