We began 2023 in Paris together with all the authors of accepted abstracts for the coming special issue of Valuation studies. The intense two-day workshop provided room for thorough discussion of all the draft papers as well as drawing connections across and more generally on their implications for the overarching theme of the special issue: "the good economy". As organizers, it was especially inspiring to see how many thought-provoking ideas the call had managed to gather, and also how the papers spoke to the theme in different ways, but in many instances also in conversation with each other.
The workshop was organized in collaboration and with support from Le Centre universitaire de Norvège à Paris (CUNP) who are based at Fondation Maison des sciences de l'homme.
