On October 31, 2018, the University of Oslo will hold its annual Arctic Day on the theme “Arctic collaborations”. Speakers will show how the humanities and social sciences contribute to interdisciplinary research on the Arctic. Kristin Asdal will give a speech on “Assembling the North - Reinventing Parliament: the controversy over whaling in the late 19th century”.
