PhD final seminar: Kristin Oxley

Kristin Oxley is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture (TIK). In the seminar, she will present the draft of her PhD thesis.

About the project

The PhD project is focused on three main questions of inquiry:

  • What are the challenges associated with evaluating interdisciplinary/novel research in grant peer review panels and how can the organisational context in which the review panels are embedded help or hinder effective evaluation?
  • What are the challenges associated with evaluating impact ex ante in grant peer review panels and how can the organisational context in which the review panels are embedded help or hinder effective evaluation?
  • What is the added value of panel review compared to aggregation of individual reviews and how does the organisational context in which the review panels are embedded affect this potential value?
