The workshop was organised by Vegard Iversen, a Senior Research Fellow at University of Manchester. The workshop is part of ESOP’s ‘Economic Growth and Sustainable Development in India’ project, which is funded by the Norwegian Research Council through their Research Cooperation with India (INDNOR) programme. Workshop participants included Ashwini Deshpande from Delhi School of Economics, Amrita Dhillon from University of Warwick, Jeremy Magruder from UC Berkeley and Kaivan Munshi from Brown University.
As part of the India visit, ESOP staff also participated in the annual Growth and Development Conference at Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. ESOP has over the years had regular presence at this conference and this year's programme included presentations by ESOP participants as well as by several of ESOPs international collaborators.
